Next Stage Annual Fun Day – Sunshine, Connection & Community Growth
At Next Stage, we know how powerful it is when people come together. This year’s Annual Fun Day was an example of how fresh air, friendly faces, and a bit of fun can bring out the best in all of us.
With sunshine above and community spirit all around, people from across our services joined together to enjoy a full day of games, laughter, good food, and great company. From five-a-side football to tombola’s, raffle wins, and plenty of ice cream to keep us cool, it was a day to remember.
Nature & Wellbeing – A Big Part of What We Do
We believe getting outdoors isn’t just nice, it’s necessary. Spending time in nature has real benefits for our wellbeing, helping to reduce stress, boost confidence, and create space for connection.
That’s why outdoor spaces are important to us at Next Stage. If you’re curious to see more, check out our blog on the Community Allotment Project, where people are gaining new skills, friendships, and a stronger sense of self through gardening and teamwork.
Welcoming a New Chapter: Where We Thrive
This year’s Fun Day was also the official launch of an exciting new community interest group: Where We Thrive.
Rooted in creativity, inclusion, and meaningful activity, Where We Thrive is all about bringing people together in ways that feel empowering, fun, and person led. On the day, the group ran a raffle and tombola, raising funds to kick-start future activities. We’re proud to support their journey and excited to watch it grow.
Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing more updates about Where We Thrive and our wider community projects right here on the Next Stage blog/News.

Special Thanks
We’d like to say a big thank you to Horwich St Mary’s Football Club for allowing us to use their fantastic facilities. The open space, welcoming atmosphere, and brilliant pitch helped set the perfect stage for the day. Your support played a huge part in making the event such a success.
We also want to thank everyone who helped bring the Fun Day to life, from the people who got involved, cheered each other on, and made the day what it was. Whether you helped set up, ran a stall, served food, or simply showed up with a smile, you made it special. We couldn’t have done it without you.
