“Hi, for those that don’t know me my name is Jay. I live within Next-Stage and I wanted to share my experiences within being in the service. I have lived in this supportive living since April 2024, like everywhere moving to a new home can be scary and it can be extremely hard to adjust to an unfamiliar environment when you have been used to somewhere completely different most of your life. Likewise, everywhere has its own purpose, positives, and negatives but living here for nearly 18 months has been life changing and quite literally been ‘A way forward’ for me. I’m sure many others who live under the roof of such amazing, caring and supportive staff feel the same.
When I first came to Next-Stage, I was quiet, and I found it extremely hard to adapt to such a change. (little did I know how positive it would be)
The staff helped me settle in, decorate my flat, plan trips out with me to get to know the area and engage within the community, they would have the most bizarre of chats with me to make me laugh. They always had and always do have time for me. (As well as the other people who live here)
There have been good times and there have been bad. But living here has changed my life and I could not be more grateful for the way I have been treated with nothing but dignity and respect.
I would recommend Next-Stage to anyone in the blink of an eye.

“I just want to make it known that I am so grateful for all of the staff at Viewfield. My son is having a great life due to how well supported he is. He has grown in independence due to the consistency and encouragement that he has received. His weight has reduced and he is maintaining this healthier size but only due to staff prompts and continuity throughout the team. My son always wanted to go everywhere with me but now he is happy to access events and travel with staff members. I feel that this is progressive as he has at times been overly dependent on me. My son’s mental health is stable and due to Next Stage’s care and support he has not needed a section for over four years now. When he has needed a firm approach and boundaries implemented Next Stage have liaised well with myself and have been swift to make appropriate tweaks to his support plan. My son’s levels of activity have improved and he is walking more now than I have ever known him too. All in all I just want to say that I would not want my son to be anywhere else at this point in his life. I feel he is becoming the man he is meant to be and I put this down to good role models of influence. Thank you Viewfield Mews”
